Reflections 2011
PTA believes all children deserve a quality arts education and
encourages students to pursue artistic expression through participation
in its annual arts Reflections Program.
The program offers students in preschool through grade 12 the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. It celebrates the many skills of our students and encourages them to pursue artistic expression in a number of different ways including:

The Reflections Programs offers schools an avenue to showcase the importance of arts in education. For example, did you know that artistic exploration increases the ability to pay attention for longer periods of time? Not to mention that participation in various artistic endeavors such as music, visual arts and dance, is linked to better performance in math, science and creative thinking. Arts education benefits all students and strengthens partnerships among teachers, students, parents and community groups.
